Members Shellshock
Hope you enjoy these stats. :thumb: The bolded number is the song's peak position and the number at the end is how many weeks the song stayed in the charts for. I can't believe how badly most of the Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince songs did here, especially Parents Just Don't Understand which seems to be semi well known. 04/10/1986 Jazzy Jeff And Fresh Prince Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble 21 59-46-37-21-23-30-49-74->8 21/02/1987 Jazzy Jeff And Fresh Prince The Magnificent Jazzy Jeff 93 93-98->2 30/05/1987 Jazzy Jeff And Fresh Prince A Touch Of Jazz 79 79-91->2 14/05/1988 Jazzy Jeff And Fresh Prince Parents Just Don't Understand 87 91-92R(14)-87-100->4 24/02/1990 Jazzy Jeff And Fresh Prince I Think I Can Beat Mike Tyson 94 94->1 03/08/1991 Jazzy Jeff And Fresh Prince Summertime 8 26-13-10-8-14-17-32-52->8 09/11/1991 Jazzy Jeff And Fresh Prince Ring My Bell 53 53-60->2 11/09/1993 Jazzy Jeff And Fresh Prince Boom! KevTastic
Cheers for that, but think about it this way, not many rap songs at all did well as singles in the UK until the start of the 90's
Jazzy Julie
thanx 4 that, switch is doing pretty well out of all those hit songs. Even better than summertime????

Members Shellshock
Thanks for the list! Summertime only number 29! That was the 1994 re-release. It got to number 8 in 1991.

Jonny 5
thanks for the stats ShellShock, interesting read, Switch is doing well!
rcpbball30
Switch seems to be holding up well, that is true. I just wish more of the hip-hop stations would appreciate one of the greatest of all-time. Not only that, but if Switch is holding at #4, Party Starter and Tell Me Why should go #1, because they are both much better tracks.
FreshPrincess
thanks for those! i didn't know the positions of Code Red tracks apart from Boom! so it was good to read! 1 thing tho...Twinkle??? Number 62???? Now that is criminal....
DevilsJim89
"Code Red" was an enormous album over there in the UK I think. "Boom! Shake the Room" was the 1st number 1 rap single (i might be wrong)... does anyone have the worldwide or UK stats of albums? like did "Code Red" go platinum over there or what? hotzappa11
The ones that got high up are probably the ones that were promoted alot. I remember "Boom...." being promoted a hell of a lot.
