But it is especially difficult for women .. She could have written any style of music but she chose what spoke to her .. She chose what moved her the most .. For her to have the courage to follow her muses I tip my hat .. And for Will Smith to be a fan of mine - for me - is an honor .. I have enjoyed his films & music for years & it is something of a compliment to know he enjoys the music, the style, & the message .. I know how protective everyone is of this genre .. But if it is reaching the outer rim then the Movement is working & the Revolution is happening .. Art is touching people & we are not responsible for where or who it infects - we are only responsible for ourselves & how we continue to preserve, advance, & study it. & remember ..
