mfuqua23
I went to Hit Em Up (The Official Unofficial Tupac Website), and I noticed in the Street Hop Section some news bout Jay-Z. Jay-Z returns as Shawn Carter signed to Aftermath. Ha ha. Tryna fool us. Seems so stupid tho don't it? This whole situation. So what happens 2 Roc-A-Fella? I guess Dame Dash takes full control. Jay-Z was just the best the ROC had. But look at their roster. Cam, Kanye, Beanie, Memph Bleek, Young Gunz, etc. Some people would say overly-hyped. U think Jay-Z will make a branch of Aftermath? Vipa
Yea, I heard about that. I don't think he is leaving ROC for good. He still owns it. I think he's just taking this new album to aftermath, to work, more in touch with them. Why would he drop the Roc-A-Fella name from his List? That's where his Money comes from :)
bigted
I think that this whole retirement talk was just a stunt, Jay-Z idolizes Michael Jordan, so he figures that he'll pull an MJ by announing retirement and coming back a year later. You gotta be kidding me, he's no legend, he's just doing this for popularity! :cussing: Maybe more peeps will pay more attention to Big Will if he announces retrement from rap and releases his album a week later! mfuqua23
Nah. Will would say he's retirin and the Fresh Prince Returns. Well Jay-Z is Rocafella. Shawn Carter is Aftermath
Jazzy Julie
thats a dissapointment, i thought he was retiring and it was gonna be a step in the right direction for hip hop. great i will have to hear that "young" thing he says over and over again, y does he say that is his songs and is that what hes saying, it annoys me. Vipa
Jay z is actually one of Hip hop's Finer MCs. I'll admit, he Fell off over the past couple of years, but he sort of caught himelf on the Black album. And stunt or not, he's doing it. I actually think it's a better way of doing this. Rather than just chaning to S Carter all of a sudden, and releasing on aftermath, He "Retired" Jay Z, and came back as SC...Know what I mean? bigted
Why is every rapper now going to Aftermath? I think even Buta Rhymes is now on Aftermath, but I don't that either until his album is released from there.
TheFre$hPrince
He´s just biting 2Pac in a way. That reminds me of the 2Pac turned into Makaveli stuff :toetap:
