Silver Tiger
Without sounding preachy about it, when you see Nelly is marked down as a better rapper than Will, you know the list is wack. People are whack. God Blessa!
WildWildWillennium
Everyone will never be satisfied when it comes 2 these "Top 50" lists. We all have different opinions on who's the "greatest", and this is VH1's opinion...and what they believe is that P. Diddy is 6 spots above Eric B and Rakim. TheFre$hPrince
All these top 50 stuff sucks anyway. Everybody would put another rapper on top of the list, wouldn´t they?
JumpinJack AJ
At least the list is mostly filled with good artists tho.' I don't take charts 2 seriously cuz nobody will agree with every part of them. I think it's hilarious that Grandmaster Flash is number 8. He's definitly a DJ and not a rapper....on top of that he only had 2 real cross-over hits with the rest only being hits in the Hip-Hop community. 3cookies
I was just thinking the same as AJ...the list does have some good artists on it, overall... and after I took another glance at the list, ...it seems to be in a random order, IF it were to be based on my personal opinion... peace, 3cookies Edited June 14, 2004 by 3cookies

Guest Prince
Lists like this aren't really worth the page they're written on in my opinion. No matter how many things like this are composed, none of us are ever going to agree fully with them
JumpinJack AJ
Exactly. The difference is...what makes me mad is when somebody who dosen't know about real Hip-Hop or isn't knowlegble on old skool gets 2 make a list like this. I don't care about agreeing with a list...i only care about who actually make it on the list. For instance, somebody who got in2 Hip-Hop during the mid or late 90's can't put a decent list 2gether if they havn't educated themselves on old skool Hip-Hop. Here's another thing i go by. If Rakim isn't in the top 3...then the list is crap. Also, if any rapper/emcee who came out in the last 8-10 years or so is in the top 10...it's crap.
