It's taken just about a decade, but the Fugees reunion that fans begged for, gave up on and then started asking for again is official. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Prakazrel Michel have been in the studio for two months, according to their label, and have just leaked a new song called "Be Easy."

The reunion album is still untitled, but a tentative release date of December 27 has been scheduled. There's no word yet on who the group has been working with.

On "Be Easy," the three exchange verses, with Hill employing a speedy, spoken-word-type of flow, while Clef and Pras use a more traditional delivery. "I got moxie, I'm so damn cocky/ Industry tried to block me like cops and paparazzi," Hill raps. Later she says, "We 'bout to reconcile."

"I see you looking, but you better take it easy," Clef advises during the chorus. He comes a little harder in his verse: "I ain't rhyme in a minute, but y'all ain't catch up/ And that ain't blood on your shirt, it's ketchup."

The Fugees stunned the crowd with a surprise performance at Dave Chappelle's block party in Brooklyn, New York, last summer (see "Fugees — Yes, Even Lauryn — Reunite For Dave Chappelle's Block Party"), and their most recent show was in June at the BET Awards (see "Destiny's Child Give Lap Dances, Fugees End Feud At BET Awards"). Hill had been cutting records for a solo album, however details on the project remain sketchy (see "Kanye West Collaborating With Lauryn Hill On New LP"). Pras just releases his latest solo LP, Win, Lose or Draw, a few weeks ago. Clef released a Caribbean-flavored LP called Welcome to Haiti: Creole 101 last year.

I knew an album waz coming...i just didn't expect it so soon. Hopefully this new album will change the game the way The Score did. Commerical rap is at it's lowest point ever and the Fugees may be just what we need.

"The Score" is a hard album for them to top since it's an all-time hip-hop album, I think their 1st one "Blunted On Reality" was mad slept on, it's a classic too, but if they could put out an album close to the level of those 2 I'll be happy, I doubt they'll be that popular as they were 9 years ago no matter how great it is, especially since Wyclef's solo albums have been floppin' since "The Carnival" and Lauryn hasn't dropped any new material in over 6 years, "Masquerade" in my opinion was one of the top albums of 2002 that showcased Wyclef as one of the top lyricists in the game, now that's who I'd call one of the greatest mcs/producers of all-time unlike a certain few that've been overhyped, Columbia dropped him after that one flopped with their lame promotion like usual, but it'd be sweet if the Fugees were popular again 'cause the commercial rap scene is at an all-time low.

I actually liked The Fugees 1st album better than The Score. I think it's silly 2 hold the same expectations 2 an album they released nearly 10 years ago since their lives and music has changed. I'm just expecting good music, relevant lyrics, and real talent 2 finally join Black Eyed Peas on the radio.

You should upload it fan4ever, I'd like to hear it! :1-say-yes: Anyways as long as it's another quality album from the Fugees that could impact the game I'll be happy, I don't like to always compare artists' albums with other ones they do, I try to judge that album for what it is not if it sounds exactly like their previous ones, it bugs me out though that some people want the same things all the time and call it wack if it don't sound like their previous classic, even though it's really still quality while they stick with the predictable artists that do the same thing all the time.
