Damian
Some time ago I tryed to find songs which contains rap & gospel (I don't finded anything really interesing). I mean I founded some songs like Public Enemy - What You Need Is Jesus (from "He Got Game" soundtrack), but I want more church choirs in refren. I met this site: http://www.holyhiphop.com/ I remeber some tracks from Holy HH artists like Lil Zane, T-Bone, & Montel Jordan - To Da River. and one song (but I don't remeber the title of this:( ) it has nice refren: "Let the problems gone cause we gonna party tonight, celebrating the goodnes ot the Lord Jesus Christ....." (It was really good song) I have got some questions. 1. Do you heard something about this? 2. What you think about this? 3. Do you know some rap songs/bands rapping with gospel in refren? 4. Can you recommending me some gospel/soul/r'n'b artists?

mfuqua23
I know some because I had made my own lil compilation titled "Gospel 4 Da Ghetto Vol. 1". I had some that probably don't directly fit what your doing, but ones I do are.. Why Can't The Homies Hear Me - Gospel Gangstaz No Time to Rest - Prime Minister Who Do U Believe In? - 2pac God - Reverend Run (*it was one of Pac's poems he read*) Why The Good Die Young - 2pac + Outlaws and Winged Out - FuQ (but it's not top notch like most of my stuff is now)

You can also check for fun gospel songs like: Micah Stampley - "War Cry" or "Sign". The first one is strong:)
WesSyde
the song that FuQ mentioned are great, but not all of the are by Gospel artists. here's some of the best Gospel rappers out there in my opinion: T-Bone Cross Movement Gospel Gangstaz D.C.P. TopDawg14
top dawg should be able to help you with that list.. Damian, There are a bunch of rappers taking the Gospel to the streets. There's Cross Movement, KJ-52, Da T.R.U.T.H., Lecrae, and New Breed to name a few. In fact there are 3 superb albums from HHH artists this year alone. Check out the following albums from these artists: Phanatik - The Incredible Walk The Ambassador - The Thesis KJ-52 - Behind The Musik(A Boy Named Jonah) You can also check out these websites: Cross Movement Records KJ-52 Holy Culture Radio
Hymn Strings
I made a whole mix of twenty songs that were very spiritual out of the hundred of Hip Hop cds I have. They all had little-to-no cursing. My younger sister loved it, and she's not a fan of Hip Hop at all! I will post up those tracks on here once I get a hold of the disc. Here were a few from it: KRS-One- Higher Level Rakim- The Mystery Killah Priest- Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth Zion I- One Chance Public Enemy- What You Need Is Jesus Brand Nubian- Allah & Justice to be continued... Guest Guest
There are a bunch of rappers taking the Gospel to the streets. Hey, you mean rappers from Holy HH, right? But If you mentioned all type of todays rappers, yes I know what you mean. You writed many titles, thanks people, I will check them. I suspect that they haven't church choirs in refrens (that what I'm looking for:), you know, flow with happy "clapping" choir, like in song Micah Stampley - Sign:)), but ok. I can give you example of what I'm searching for. I downloaded song from film called "Sister Act 2". Maybe you watched it. In final scene, when they won they sang song. I'm looking songs like this: "gospel Sister Act 2 Lauryn Hill - Joyful, Joyful.mp3" (name of downloaded song). (you can chear rappin guys nad nice choir)! I'm glad that you are trying to help me. But what you think about this whole Holy HH? I think that it's rather positive thing. Also if someone know answer at my 4th question can write reply.
