Mike
Right here is a emotional track. Its about racism and one parts about gangs. Feeback is needed. i want to add more to the 2nd verse but i wanted to share it. for those of who dont know, im white. and i started a topic about white rappers using the n-word and how yo uwould react. here i use the n-word. so lets see what happens Blind Written by Concept "Blind is a word we use to represent no vision" Explain light or dark, or colors to a blind man if you can Explain why we have racism, why Harriet Tubman ran Cause a blind man doesn't care if you're white or you're black And he won't turn around and stab you in the back A man without vision possess no lust, but trust Impaired but morally better than us So fast the scenery changes, rearranges Now were strangers World so strange like the sky, through blind kid's eyes He sat and he sighed, now his mother cries She yells out why? Nothing he did But where he went, he's so innocent. He heard two guys walking, kickin up dirt I wonder if they knew he couldn't see the color of his shirt They walked up to him, and they pushed him around Then he heard metal clicking, an unfamiliar sound. Boom, two shots and the boy hit the ground. Dead for a minute and skins getting duller Not knowing the liquid that came out was also the wrong color. (Chorus) x2 We should all close our eyes and just become blind We should all close our eyes and just become blind Cause, we're all the same on the inside Just stand up, come out, no reason to hide What would we do if Rosa moved on the bus? Would we still have different seats that separate us? Too bad no one looks at each other the same Instead we start using harmful racial names Friends, not 'n*ggers', no hate crimes, no triggers You gotta understand, that we are all man Together we live, that's what God planned We see; skin, jobs and steriotypin We're blind: to speech, mind, we're just fightin This civil war, since the beginning of sin It's just another war that we can't win (Chorus) x2 Edited October 27, 2005 by WILL IS ILL
Da Brakes
Thats real deep man. I like it! No matter what tho, if you record it and use the 'n' word people are gonna question it. Thats just the way it goes in this society. Me personallly would prefer it if no one used it at all in any way shape or form. But definately a good track! Mike
i added to the second verse. its really good in my opinion "Blind is a word we use to represent no vision" Explain light or dark, or colors to a blind man if you can Explain why we have racism, why Harriet Tubman ran Cause a blind man doesn't care if you're white or you're black And he won't turn around and stab you in the back A man without vision possess no lust, but trust Impaired but morally better than us So fast the scenery changes, rearranges Now were strangers World so strange like the sky, through blind kid's eyes He sat and he sighed, now his mother cries She yells out why? Would we still have different seats that separate us? Too bad no one looks at each other the same Instead we start using harmful racial names Friends, not 'niggers', no hate crimes, no triggers You gotta understand, that we are all man Together we live, that's what God planned Stand like Gandhi, take the pain like Jesus Devils now, but angels when he sees us Save our asses so we lie, and they believe us God forgives us, but we still need trust We see: skin, jobs and steriotypin We're blind: to speech, mind, we're just fightin This civil war, since the beginning of sin It's just another war that we can't win (Chorus) x2 Edited November 11, 2005 by WILL IS ILL
kbfprince
nice one concept.. when are you going to start doing audio?
WesSyde
that song had a good concept to it (no pun intended). the first verse was right on point, i'd just like to see if expanded deeper with a full 2nd verse, but i understand it's not easy to come up with this stuff. Mike
thanks for the feedback guys, i changed one of the lines in the 2nd verse to "God forgives us, but we still need trust" cause i use 'sees us' two times. and your right about how its not easy to come up with this. the first verse is 19 verses and the 2nd is 15 (if i remember correctly). before i added the Gandhi/God parts it was oonly 11 lines in the second verse. so im trying to expand it. Recording- i havent been recording lately because my program is actung funny and it wont let me record. so i think im gonna reinstall it. the only downfall would be losing all my accapellas i recorded. but i feel like i should have rerecorded them anyway. so maybe this will be good for me. i have an album cover desinged, i did it on paint so i need to find the time to find the actual spot to shoot the picture. ill post the picture soon oh and by the way i chose the name Concept because of you guys always saying i had good concepts for songs, and it sounded liek a cool rap name so i was like why not. my friend always harrasses me about how the name is stupid and how he says that only famous rappers and performers have rap name. so that kinda killed my spirits. WesSyde
there's probably ways for u to save all your acapellas. find out what folder they're in and cut and paste them somewhere else.

Mike
on the n word....i showed my black friends and they didnt care. they said that i crossed the line, but to prove a point. and as long as i didnt use it to try to be black or to insult blacks they didnt care. so i feel that you guys have the same feelign on it.
