J-o-e
Thought she was cool, going to clubs underage Had a life destined for her to be on the stage A beautiful girl with ambitions in her life Didn’t want to be stuck just being a housewife She wanted more that than, so she went out I can’t blame her, she didn’t know what it was about One dark morning she got up the wrong side of the bed Looked at her covers and all she saw was red She’s a lost girl with scents of coke still on her nose A drunken girl but nobody wanted to impose She lived like a rock star but had a body like a girl Wanted to be a model with life of twirls and swirls Then one dark night she was raped in an alley way Can’t blame anyone because it’s an ordinary day Refused to herself not to even tell a single soul Her heart turned black, darker than coal So she tried to stay strong and keep to business Couldn’t think about court or even the witness She didn’t even know she was about to give birth I guess that god’s gift is a curse couldn’t get worse And when time grew her belly got a bit bigger She had a gun and was urging herself to pull the trigger Collapsed in the bathroom with the baby about to come Wiped the tears from her face, ashamed in what she become Mother came in an hour later because of all the screams She kicked her out on the street, now what does that mean? She tried to sell a bit of crack but that’s whack Lost her voice so she couldn’t do that demo track And she’s still trying to find away for her baby No home no job at times it seemed too crazy What could she do? No man and she was all alone No one to phone because all she had was her own No welfare no share and now she’s getting stressed She can’t even go home to get a suitably dressed Blood stains calling shames still all over the clothes Still sleeping outside concerts to hear dope shows As she holds her baby in her arms she cries aloud Screams “Mum I only wanted to make you proud” She can’t hope so then she turns to a bit of dope Smokes a bit of weed and then her backs to the rope She’s swinging and swinging but can’t hit anything Promised to herself that this rape wasn’t a fling She wouldn’t go to the cops, she already had two strikes And the dirty cop was the one who raped her, she disliked… I know when you feel you’ve had enough You think your not that tough and things look rough Suddenly she got a part time job and went to school Hated her parents for the time that they said she was a fool Got herself a place where her and her baby could stay Left the city where all them memories could go away She tried to think of how to tell the child That the father she didn’t see, it seemed to wild We all know all she needs is a bit of money Don’t mean to sound all rude and a bit of funny But her baby was the cutest thing too date She picked herself up before it was too late From a sea sick operation to her living well It just shows that god cares about us in hell Even if the cops don’t, we don’t care any more She slapped anyone who called her a whore She toughened up and going through what she did Was glad to be raising and helping her kid And as to the end of this horrific story She lives the rest of her life taunting in glory Her baby is healthy and she loves her to much In a way she thanks the man that she had to touch… What ya'll think, this is going to be on my second album "Alleged Depedneces" - Is that title cool enough? mfuqua23
"One dark morning she got up the wrong side of the bed Looked at her covers and all she saw was red... ...Then one dark night she was raped in an alley way Can’t blame anyone because it’s an ordinary day" - these parts just threw me off. It's like the fluency of the story broke up for me. Or are these 2 different instances? Other than that, story is deep.
