mfuqua23
Hey y'all. I don't like to post during these battles, but I really think it's something everybody will enjoy. I came across the beat by way of cataboy3 (Fre$h C) a couple months ago. We both wanted to write to it, compare them and put together a remix. This is the 1st track towards my album "Peace of Mind". Enjoy. Click here to check out the new track... © 2005 - Written Oct. 19, 2005 (11:50 p.m.) - Oct. 20, 2005 (1:00 p.m.) Intro It’s real hip hop love going down right here You got me? You got me? Verse 1 Know that there’s no other genre to produce such a lyrical responder The way that time has ticked, You’d think I was a climax bomber With a presence that seems to proceed ever so slow but the flow is quick and not lettin’ you go whether you swim or drown, your feelin’ it and into it No matter the basis of birth, where I may represent But historically, the beat came first Touched by the hands of a man called the DJ who made it work In times of revolution, we needed to party Get away from the ghetto street wars, where everybody’s targeting one another, so we dance undercover Put graffiti art on trains before it travels to the suburbs Both coasts know hope and hate how economy breaks So they’re by the presidents gate for wage rates Power to the people and the music is the equal expressin’ emotions to reach ‘em, but to love hip hop is something you can’t teach ‘em CHORUS (I’m always down) to hear that hip hop sound whenever it come around Listening from both near and far for everyday people or the big time stars (Don’t cha know) Don’t cha know, I love the way it connects to my soul Never let go, I’ll love it forever more, it’s that Hip Hop Verse 2 I learned to understand man’s ability of listening See a crowd of sheep, but I’m not always with the “in” thing Remember family get-togethers, pulled in by the perfect weather And by night-time, music collections we got ignite our minds Studying joints with poetic points, sounds crispy or statically from the radio antenna’s lean Amazed by the action, how I create and imagine rhythmic sentences, expand my knowledge and make it infinite Uniqueness, that makes you speechless Get on the microphone, and restore the competitiveness by way of talent, such a negligent search as if change is pain, and it’s gonna hurt The underground is rhythm in peace Quality’s never been deceased, just dig around and reach Behold, it’s my intelligence, don’t think that I’m sellin’ it I’m just sharin’ and tellin’ it as I speak on kid CHORUS (I’m always down) to hear that hip hop sound whenever it come around Listening from both near and far for everyday people or the big time stars (Don’t cha know) Don’t cha know, I love the way it connects to my soul Never let go, I’ll love it forever more, it’s that Hip Hop Verse 3 (I got cha love)... that takes you to the next plateau Full circle, and keep going like a lasso and grabbin' at those foes that I oppose need correction for all the stupidity that they seem to know (I'm always down) for this hip hop sound whenever it come around, mind, body, and soul gets astound And somehow, replinishes my energeticness that's fit for my raps to all of my audience Gotta respect, before you love it Instead of lecturin', make it priceless messages to the public We conversate to decimate negativity so we live in a better world while round the sun rotating No parading, my flow is self-liquidating If your in anyway lost, be found by true emcees saving Can't wait for a written, so in the meanwhile, I'll kick a freestyle Make sure it's recorded, so it stick around like a decal Thank my influences for inspiring, doing me justice Better development growing up as a kid Learn to be my own, do what nobody else can do cuz nowadays rappers come out by the handful Record execs don't manage, they control But I got my own control and console, which makes me responsible By standard dues of the game to get above Don't want it cuz all I need is that Hip Hop Love Edited December 24, 2005 by mfuqua23

Jonny 5
great track man... I always wondered, how do you pronounce 'Fuq'? What happens when you make it big and all the kids are wanting "fcuk's new cd"?
thePrince
I always wondered, how do you pronounce 'Fuq'? Think along the lines of how you say 'aqua'.
mfuqua23
Actually I've got an even easier way. If your into college basketball, think Duke Blue Devils. Duke --> "Fuke". Kinda ironic because I'm actually a UNC Tar Heels fan.

mfuqua23
You can't have a dirty mind and run a religion, especially a JJFP one. It just doesn't work that way.
