Frenetic
Bar = a line of lyrics: For years I've been tryin to rip rhymes and get mine And spit lines hot like lava this time I don't got a sitcom to bother with Or a time conflict with my sci-fi hits Those are four bars. the thing is that It's pretty easy spitting two bars, but four bars being as good as two is a bit harder. So i don't want a whole verse, butthe best four bars Will has spit. My contribution is actually: Then one week later our bombs were dropped We seein them, on CNN, they just won't stop The infrared, images of brutal attack He said "Daddy now we killin 'em back," right right So damn intense.. so true, so raw. I've alway known will has the capability of talking about the rapscene. But that first verse on Tell Me Why and those last four bars made me go like :mygod: when I heard it. bigted
The realest 4 bars for Will'd have to be what he said on "Just The Two Of Us", such a universal message that defines the positive messages of his career: "Throughout life people'll make you mad Disrespect you and treat you bad Let God deal with the things they do 'Cause hate in your heart'll consume you too"

Jonny 5
good topic idea... here's some of my favourites... That’s the philosophy I live my life by When things get hard through the stress and strife I Keep on pushing with a full head of steam Like a train through the tunnel to my shadow dream Tempo moderate, this ain’t no marathon Step back, new jack’s, observe the paragon Ha, who? what?, why?, when? Don’t be looking around clown, that’s right, I’m back again They get a lot of big words out of some magazine And nine times out of ten they don't even know what they mean They stand up on the stage, huffing and puffin Rappin for nearly an hour, but they're not sayin nothin If I was Fred Flintstone I'd probably own all of Bedrock If I was a criminal I'd probably own a cellblock If I was in the Navy I would own the sea But I'm a poet so I own the whole rap industry Edited December 26, 2005 by Jonny
Jazzy Julie
He said pain is the mother of change The rain must flow so the seeds of joy might grow Don't be afraid find shelter in me The road to greatness through the valley of adversity Lost when you a slave to the biz Wit no care for the cost of what you sayin to kids Found is when ya lyrics are a test of time And your mom hear that your spirit is blessed divine I call for the days of the unadulterated When the artistry was cultivated You know, back when rap was smart and multilayered We could rap without A&Rs& ultimatums (damn) Its always darkest before the light Nothing's worth having if its not worth a fight No love without labor, no labor no love Draw on the strength bestowed from above Just ignorant, attacking, actin’ rough I mean, then will I be black enough Oh wait maybe I’ll jack a truck Full of cigarettes, guns & drugs & stuff
