Guy by the name of Big Press produced it. It's DJ Premier-ish, and I loved it. I just wrote around the actual beat title and came up with this. "Remember Me" I wanna be remembered, words uttered by so many brothaz Many lovers, those with an existing soul, unlike any other Is that the only way for life fulfillment? Higher Power goin thru lives like realism entertainment I appear to say the same sweet nothings Tryna come up so I can be a bit of somethin' Never dumpin' the thoughts to be a rapper, even after high school I am..., and now expand experience on how to use the right tools Gaining knowledge, represent by respondent Either free for self or a ruler's product A promising hypnotic, like sex, money, drugs, politics, religion We all get caught ignorant by the different divisions My decision is to follow none of that but in this habitat, I got no choice but swollow some of that So now, each phase clashes like bad friendships I go thru another day I don't wanna witness I get reminiscent, to find answers within my past for a better future, and avoid where the evils are stashed An unmasked classic, that should be placed up top It goes deeper than your category "Hip-Hop" CHORUS Remember me (3x), for the lines of rhymes, puttin' minds ahead of they time Remember me (3x), for being mixed, but wasn't fixed to fit in this society Remember me (3x), however you want to, cuz in exchange I'm thinkin of you I wanna be remembered... I'm about 5 years older brain-wise, 3 years younger in my youthness Losing my innocence, while society change shifts My intakes of breath, wasn't supposed to be so now I'm thinkin' I got reason for some kind of memories America's epidemics keep my rebel replinished and yet it's the same stuff that almost had my life ended I stay introverted, let little to be seen on purpose but then changes it up, wonder how you never heard of this in a place where sidewalks cracked, backs are stabbed, whispers are tracked Yeah, it goes further than the ghettos, it's everywhere on the map In the mind of millions, such an overrated feelin' Might meant to be a hero, but converted into a villain I'm careful with my affliates, make sure they got sense My plans ain't marked blueprints, they're subcategory "what if's" Each word is like a spliff, and only burn it if there's understanding And if not, then it's uncanny, you're about to lose the battle with the enemies Take these with you to capture your dream but don't enslave it, just mold it and shape it, and see if you can make it Let your mind be easily caressed before the death Knowing ya lived for yourself, but see I'm not you, I want my rememberance felt CHORUS ----------- The audio should be up on my myspace and soundclick come tomorrow, and the mixtape is suppose to be out by May.
