Lerkot
I think it is very interesting to see how people are different in different countries, even if they are almost neighbours. I started analyzing different styles of the world a couple of years ago when the Swedish football club Djurgårdens IF had bought a new striker, a Dutch player called Geert den Ouden. A couple of days after his transfer, I was going to make an interview with him but before I made it I was to talk with a Swedish player called Alexander Östlund. I really saw the extreme difference during den Oudens stay in Sweden and the way they spoke. Geert felt like it was the most natural thing in the world to say what he really thought and he joked around with everyone. He was so incredibly honest that the Swedish media had to change their interviewing technique a 100 percent. Earlier they had to ask the smartest questions in the world, questions you couldnt answer "no" or "yes" to (except for when they spoke to Ibrahimovic of course), and now they suddenly just had to say a world and Geert said the rest. Fantastic. After having spoken with Geert, who praised me for prounouncing his name right (you wouldnt think that, would you), I started to dig into the Netherlands and saw that most of the people were acting in the same way as Geert. Its almost a little scary with a nation where the general population thinks in a totally different way than you are used to even if its only like an hours travel. Anyone else who think of things like this?
