WesSyde Posted June 27, 2006 Report Share Posted June 27, 2006 i have firefox but i dont use it. i've always used internet explorer simply because its the shortcut on my desktop and the default browser. if you like the features of Firefox like tabbed browsing, try downloading Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2. it's basically a mirror image of the features that Firefox has plus a few new things. you can only download IE 7 Beta 2 if you are running Windows XP service pack 2 tho. Vipa Posted June 27, 2006 Report Share Posted June 27, 2006 I use Firfox, for the main reaosn that on my old computer, I had so much Spyware because of IE, my Browser would run so slow...then I for FF and everythin was a hell of a lot quicker. It seems so much smoother and faster than Internet explorer and I'm loving the tabs and password storage features! This defo gets the thumbs up from me! WesSyde Posted June 28, 2006 Report Share Posted June 28, 2006 password storage is available in IE aswell, its just that you probably turned it off when u first used IE on ur comp. you can turn it on in the options. whatever, people are hooked on firefox but i dont see why its anything better than IE. WesSyde Posted June 28, 2006 Report Share Posted June 28, 2006 well i dont know the facts or anything but i do know that IE attempts to make security part of their product too. ive never had to turn anything on, the default settings block pop ups and prevent files from being run and always prompt you before they do. i dunno i think both browsers are fine i just use IE cuz i always have and im not in the habit to change. My comp is full of spyware, ive got a firewall and about 3 pop up blockers on and its still bad. I'll change to firefox and that should help, thanx everyone! Ever since i first used mozilla i have never used IE again only to download mozilla when my computer came back from repairs.
