Da Brakes
Notice how as the years go by it progressively gets worse!
bigted
A lot of great rappers get recognized here, Da Brakes got a point 'cause you could see how the best year seemed to be 1988 with all legends being listed and the worst year was 2005 with a lot of subpar rappers like you know who, you know something's wrong with the state of the rap game when you look at the recent most influential artists today... Jonny 5
could be better, could be a LOT worse! good stuff
viber_91
Nice to see JJFP and Will on that list!
Silver Tiger
The lists look pretty bad from 2000 and onward. 2005 is something nasty. Nice that Will gets some attention though. God Blessa!
sonic1988
I'm glad Will got props for '97. A lot of people just know that's when he was at his biggest in music, but nobody really says he's an influence.
bigted
The way I see it 1988-1993 is the golden era of classic mcs and 2000-2005 is the sucker mc era with careers created by publicity stunts, most of those shouldn't even have record deals Edited July 15, 2006 by bigted
WesSyde
nice to see Will get some recognition in there. boy those last few years are really bad. :damnyou:
Angel Amor
Yeah its great 2 see JJFP/Will get mention :yeah: ...even tho the numbers aint that good..but I take what I can get. I mean it really could have been worse. I mean I have seen magazines that have done a Top HipHop list or TimeLine of HipHopthingy and just totally skip JJFP/Will all together. DevilsJim89
It's a shame how this list completely went down the drain as the years went on. It's so bad.
JumpinJack AJ
I waz about 2 say the same thing. It's amazing how 1988 is nothing but classic artists...all with talent. And by the time 2 get 2 2005, there's literally nobody that personally think is ever consistently average...if any good at all. By the time the 90's are over...that lists go 2 hell and back. I love seeing JJ+FP getting the love tho.'
rcpbball30
The most recent lists are pathetic, Bun B and Three 6 Mafia, give me a break, it is so evident of the current poor state of the rap game...
Luigie
im glad to see JJFP/Will Smith there!, but that last list aint very good, oh come on! Three Six Mafia?
