Schnazz
It seemed inappropriate to be mixing well wishes for willreign with debate over the fighting, so I moved this to it's own thread, starting with the last post: Its the israelian way to expand territories by systematically killing anyone who doesnt think that its not a very good idea. The UN has over and over again told Israel to retreat back to the borders that was agreed in 1967, but still they continue to occupate palestinian territory, thanks to economic and political help from the United States. Libanon is the country that has accepted the most Palestinian refugees, so that they are angry at Israel aint strange at all. I think its interesting that Hizbollah kidnapped two Israelian soldiers and Israel responded by killing many hundred civilians, and also they bombed Tripoli, a city where the people dont even like Hizbollah. Thats a nice way to "defend themselves". Israel and the United States are the two largest terrorist states on earth and they will keep on with the systematic slaughter. You dont have to be a genius to see where this is leading. Afghanistan, Iraq, Libanon, Syria and Iran.. The United States are the ones that have put in their veto against the UN decisions to pull back to what was agreed 1967. And they are also providing with so much weapons and money that Israel can continue this terror. Its really really ugly and its not hard to understand why so much people hate the United States. Schnazz
I have some questions about what's going on... I read that the Israely soldiers that where captured where on the Lebenon side of the border, is that true? Was Lebenon approached by Israel to have a joint operation to hunt the terrorists? Why hasn't Lebenon itself engaged in the fighting?
Lerkot
I have some questions about what's going on... I read that the Israely soldiers that where captured where on the Lebenon side of the border, is that true? Was Lebenon approached by Israel to have a joint operation to hunt the terrorists? Why hasn't Lebenon itself engaged in the fighting? I am not sure where they captured the two Israelian soldiers but I could have been on the Lebanon side of the border since Israel have continued to violate the borders that the UN put up a couple of years ago. The reason for it is more important than where it was though - Hezbollah captured the two soldiers to trade them against the three remaining Lebanese prisoners and an undetermined number of Arab prisoners held by Israel.. On your second question, here is something from Wikipedia; "Prime Minister of Israel Ehud Olmert declared the attack by Hezbollah’s military wing an “act of war” and promised Lebanon a “very painful and far-reaching response.”[17] Israeli Defense Minister Amir Peretz also said that “the State of Israel sees itself free to use all measures that it finds it needs, and the Israeli Forces have been given orders in that direction.”[18] IDF Chief of Staff Dan Halutz said “If the soldiers are not returned we will turn Lebanon’s clock back 20 years.”[19] Israel said it held the Beirut government responsible for the attack, but Prime Minister Fuad Siniora denied any knowledge of the raid and stated that he did not condone it.[20] An emergency meeting of the Lebanese government reaffirmed this position.[21]" It very much seems Israel didnt make a difference between Hezbollah and Lebanon since they accused the government of this. Of course this is just a way to justify occupating southern Lebanon once again... Lebanon soldiers have been killed by Israelian strikes and I have trouble seeing why they should try to help Israel removing the Hezbollah while Israel is killing Lebanese soldiers and civilians. If you wonder why they havent engaged in the fighting against Israel, then the answer is that many more people would be killed. Lebanon doesnt have a chance against the two biggest terrorist nations, Israel and USA and they know it, so they just try to minimalize the number of civilians killed, I guess.
