MooseKnuckles
yes we all knew it would happen, and now it has..couldnt be happier..maybe another jigga/kanye collab..but he sez in this article the album will be more "the black album" style, which i loved http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060914/ap_en_ce/music_jay_z
bart5
He probably just retired to make people want him to comeback. Now that he is coming back, he has more people excited to hear him rap again. That is just a theory though. Who knows though, mybe he just "wants to be like Mike" or somethin. Edited September 14, 2006 by bart5

Mike
i liked the gray album more than i liked the black album. i liked the beats better, and not because i like the beatles either. i think it was done better production wise. but im glad to hear that jay z is back even though i knew it would happen

JamesUK
Whats going on with Chris Martin, recording and hanging out with overhyped rapper #1, producing for Jay Z - I'm actually looking forward very much to that track
JumpinJack AJ
I kinda liked Jay-Z back in 1996. By 1999, i waz done with him (outside of a single here or there). If he stretches his subject matter and has beats that are on the level of "Girls..." and "03' Bonnie + Clyde," i'll give him a chance again. And this whole "retirement" is just a joke. Who in their right mind even 2nd guessed it. Anyone claiming retirement after Too Short simply isn't gonna be taken seriously...look at FP, Mase, DMX. The only 'retirement' i'm worried about is Shock-G.

Hymn Strings
Big deal. He's still been doing songs lately. I used to like him, but personally I don't dig his flow and 80% of his stuff is bragging about how great he is. If y'all are excited about it though, cool...My two cents.
