School of Rock --Hip hop + rap scene

i dont know how many people have seen school of rock (i seem to be the one who likes rock most on here as well).but thats not the point

in school of rock there is a montage scene with a ramones song (again you guys probaly arent familiar with their music....im not either actually)

but anywa in that montage where the kids are getting better at their intrumentals and such, there is a chalkboard with all differnt classifications of rock music and rock artists.....or so we think

for the first time 2 nights ago i noticed at the very bottom of this chart there is Rap and Hip Hop

It is actually impressive because of wos on the lists and even that it is two seperate genres

HIP HOP: Boogie down productions, Eric B, Salt n Pepa, Dough E Fresh, Sugar Hill Gang

RAP: LL Cool J, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Ice T, Dr Dre, Ice Cube, Public Enemy, NWA, Snoop Dogg

Some of these names are hard to amke out casue they are small when on the chalkboard and it doesnt help that the camera zooms out. On top of that a globe covers half of the rap section so there could possibly be more. All these are what i could make out

cool, never noticed that in the film before but can picture the scene your on about. As for being alone as a Rock fan, your not the only one. I DJ a Rock night every week and my two fave bands are Jimmy Eat World and Thrice.

I like some Rock too.. More into the Punk dierction tho. I like for example the Ramones. As for the movie: I think sometimes they use the word Rock Music for Pop Music, caus at VH1 they als call Pop & Hip Hop Stars "Rock Stars".
