bigted
What's up y'all I recently checked out the September issue of Vibe magazine and I found this interesting piece mentioning 51 CD's that are vital for your music collection, on the most part I liked the picks that they made, but I noticed that they didn't include any of JJFP's albums on there, they could have easily included "He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper" 'cause that was the 1st hip-hop album to ever win a Grammy and set the table for the legendary career of JJFP, it doesn't seem right that they mentioned "Paid In Full", "Criminal Minded", "It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back","The Great Adventures Of Slick Rick" and "Straight Outta Compton", then not mention "He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper". Guest Prince
Why top 51? Seems an odd number for a list...

DevilsJim89
Every rap fan must have "He's the DJ, I'm the Rapper"...that was one of the biggest rap records in history and it helped move rap into mainstream. JumpinJack AJ
Yeah, i got that issue somewhere. I can't believe some of the stuff they left off but the list really isn't that bad.
TopDawg14
I'm not really surprised that none of JJFP's albums got left off. I mean it's Vibe Magazine. They are not the authority on hip-hop. They are pretty much about commercialism and what's hot now. The Source used to be a magazine that was credible but not anymore. I'm a little tired of people making "lists" like they're the absolute authority on something. Like what you want to like. I haven't seen the list but I'm sure I would disagree with a lot of the albums they had on the list.
